LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN BOGOTA
The International House (IH) in Bogotá, is housed in a typically Colombian building in the centre of the historic “La Candelaria” old town. The building was previously used by presidents preparing for their entry into office after election. The infrastructure includes a bright interior courtyard, twelve spacious class rooms and a study room with computers (including internet) to which course participants have free access before and after class. International House also teaches Colombian students, which provides ample opportunity for inter-cultural exchange. All teachers are qualified native speakers with university degrees and have completed the schools own training programme. They also have extensive experience in teaching Spanish as a foreign language.
ACCOMMODATION
IH in Bogotá offers accommodation in single rooms with half-board or breakfast only with host families. Living with a family is an ideal opportunity to quickly becom acquainted with the Colombian way of life. All host families are carefully chosen by the school and are located nearby. It is also possible to rent a furnished apartment. Although meals are not included, the price includes weekly cleaning as well as a change of bedding and towels. Other types of accommodation are available upon request.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
During the summer months, our partner school organizes a multi-faceted programme of activities. These include excursions outside the city as well as visits to the most important sites in and around Bogotá. The school is happy to help participants in planning their own trips at any time.
