LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN TARIFA
Our partner school, Escuela Hispalanse in Tarifa, was founded under Swiss management in 1989 and is especially appropriate for language travellers looking for a Spanish course in an uncomplicated, sunny atmosphere in a small Andalusian town of manageable size. The school is located in an attractive residential area; only 2 minutes walk from the centre and the beach. The teaching staff at Escuela Hispalanse are noted for their professionalism and their caring attitude and play an essential role in having participants quickly acquire the motivation to use their newly acquired Spanish directly in everyday situations. The school classes are relatively small, which allows the teachers to focus more efficiently on individual needs. All classrooms are equipped with air-conditioning and heating.
ACCOMMODATION
The school offers accommodation with selected host families in single rooms with half board. Rooms are also available in simple furnished apartments with living room, kitchen and bath for joint use with other students or Spaniards. Every apartment comes equipped with a washing machine and bedding. Other types of accommodation are available upon request.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Windsurfing and kite surfing are by far the most popular sports in Tarifa, for lots of wind and kite surfers enjoy Tarifa’s strong winds and high waves. Depending on their “base”, beginners can acquire the rudiments or the experts can really let rip. At the “Spin Out” windsurfing base, course participants receive a 10% discount when renting windsurfing equipment. Mountain biking, riding, tennis, squash, climbing, delta sailing and hiking are also part of the varied sports scene in and around Tarifa. The school also organizes excursions to Seville, Cadiz, Ronda or Gibraltar. Organized short trips to Morocco are available everyday from Tarifa.
