LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN NERJA
The Escuela de Idiomas was opened in Nerja in 1980. The Spanish-German owners run the school with a great deal of enthusiasm and dedication. The school building consists of 2 old town houses joined together, renovated and converted for school use. The building comprises 9 purpose-equipped classrooms. The school of course also includes the courtyard typical of the old city and a small garden. In summer, many classes are held outside. Numerous small shops and bars as well as glorious beaches are nearby. The Escuela de Idiomas is a relatively small school with a friendly family atmosphere, in which participants feel at home. The teaching style is varied and uses modern teaching materials. Alongside Spanish, English and German are also taught to Spanish speakers.
ACCOMMODATION
The school’s newer residential building is only 3 minutes walk away. 21 well equipped double rooms and 9 single rooms, a cafeteria and the heart of the residence, a superb Andalusian patio, give the residence its exclusive character. Also noteworthy is the rooftop terrace, with its glorious view and the swimming pool. The Escuela de Idiomas also offers good accommodation in single rooms with half board with Spanish host families. Most families live within easy walking distance.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Nerja offers numerous opportunities for sports and recreation. The most popular sports are tennis, golf, riding, climbing and, of course, all types of water sports. The school also organizes regular recreational activitiesa as dancing classes, parties and film evenings. Excursions are organized on weekends to such places as Granada, Seville or Cordoba. Spontaneous parties are also held in the schools own garden, and the school is also happy to help students plan independent outings.
