LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN MADRID
The Estudio Internacional Sampere (EIS) was founded by the Samperes as long ago as 1956 and is one of the pioneers of Spanish teaching. The teaching staff have all the necessary qualifications and experience to teach translators and interpreters as well. The school also offers foreign language courses for Spaniards and numerous programs for American universities. EIS comprises two school buildings with a total of 40 classrooms, a language laboratory and a library that is normally open 2 to 3 times a week in the afternoon for course participants. Both school buildings are located in the centre of Madrid in a residential and business area, 10 minutes walk from the lively Plaza de Colon. The Parque del Buen Retiro, Madrid’s green lung, is very close by. The average of 70 to 130 students at any time come from all over the world, the most numerous being Americans, French, British and German speakers.
ACCOMMODATION
The school offers accommodation with host families in single rooms with half board during the week and full board on weekends. The host families are within easy walking distance of the school or reachable by subway. EIS can also arrange accommodation in apartments, studios or hotel rooms near the school.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
The course price includes guided tours of Madrid’s museums and sights, which are offered once or twice a week. The school also organizes regular excursions to cities and towns outside Madrid- Toledo, Segovia, El Escorial, to name but a few. Group outings to restaurants or tapas bars as well as cinemas and theatres are also popular. 2-day weekend excursions are arranged from time to time.
