LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN CORDOBA
Our partner school Academia Hispanica, a member of the International House group, is housed in two 2-story houses, located directly opposite one another, built in the traditional Andalusian style. 18 modern classrooms are distributed around the interior courtyards, decorated with flowers and plants. The language school also has a library, a TV and video room, multimedia equipment and free Internet access. All the teaching staff are well trained and specialized in teaching their Spanish mother tongue to foreigners. Alongside standard and combination courses, the school also offers DELE-preparatory courses and language courses in combination with cooking, flamenco or culture. The most important sights are within easy walking distance of the centrally located Academia Hispanica in the historic old city.
ACOMMODATION
The school offers accommodation with host families in single rooms with half board. Most host families live near the school. This type of accommodation is especially recommended, as the family’s hospitality helps the students to feel at home and comfortable quickly. There is also the option of living with local people. RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
The Academia Hispanica offers a comprehensive recreational programme based on learning about the host country year round. Every week, visits to the various sights and museums, Sevilliana dancing courses, cooking courses, parties, contests and day excursions on Saturdays. The school also informs all course participants in good time about the various events taking place in the city, such as flamenco festivals, popular cultural festivals, theatrical performances, etc.
