Sucre - Academia Latinoamericana de Español
LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN SUCRE
The language school is in the city centre of Sucre, near the Plaza Central 25 de Mayo. The two storey, colonial style building has 14 classrooms, a kitchen, student lounge with video/DVD and a number of balconies. All teaching staff in the Academia Latinoamericana de Español are qualified and well trained Spanish-language lecturers who take part in ongoing education. The school has an average of 40 students at any time, making it small and personal, with half from Europe and the other half from North America.
ACCOMMODATIONS
The school works with middle-class host families. Since the standard of living in Bolivia is lower than in most other Latin American countries and considerably lower than in Europe, students should be flexible with their view on comfort and standards. Host families offer single rooms with half board and are in good neighbourhoods, no farther than 20-30 minutes from the school. Other accommodation options and details available upon request.
EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Every week, the school organizes two to three activies, such as sightseeing, dance courses, cooking and movie nights, parties, visiting theatres and museums, seminars, and discussion groups. On the weekends, students usually arrange their own excursions to La Paz or to Salar de Uyuni.
