THE LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN BUENOS AIRES
CHE Buenos Aires is a small Swiss run language school in the centre of Buenos Aires. The “Casa Hispanoamerica de Espaňol” is located in the lively Monserrat quarter and borders the famous San Telmo quarter (15 minute walk away). In addition, the impressive National Congress Building is only a few blocks away at the end of the elegant “Avenida de Mayo”. The area is also home to shops, restaurants, Internet cafés, cinemas, a bakery, a supermarket and public transport. The two-storey school building with its own entrance has 5 bright and well-equipped classrooms, a small library, a computer corner with free Internet access (inc. Wireless LAN in the entire building) as well as a common room and a generous sun terrace on the second floor. The charming courtyard is an inviting place to meet for coffee in the breaks and after class or for a bit of relaxed study. In addition to the course book, the teachers also use supplementary material from everyday Argentinean life (Tango, newspaper articles, songs, radio broadcasts, etc.). All of the teachers are Argentinean and native speakers of Spanish. The have the optimal qualifications (university degree) to teach Spanish as a foreign language and the school’s informal and warm atmosphere is always a winner with students.

ACCOMMODATION
The language school regularly checks its host families and knows them all personally. The school offers accommodation with host families in single rooms with breakfast or half board. The families can be easily reached on foot or with public transport. Specific wishes are catered for whenever possible (expected to be available). Other types of accommodation such as hotels or apartments are available on request.

RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
The school regularly organizes free time activities such as excursions through different parts of the city, group lunches, barbecues, DVD viewings and cultural activities like Tango shows or Tango lessons, concerts or football matches. These activities are free and students are only expected to pay for what they eat or drink and entry fees. A very popular weekend excursion is the visit to see the world famous Iguazu water falls or the trip over the border into Uruguay.
