LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN PLAYA DEL CARMEN
El Estudiante is located in the centre of Playa del Carmen on Quinta Avenida. The school was founded in 1997 and has been continuously growing. It is near the beach and surrounded by restaurants, shops, and bars. Lessons are conducted in air-conditioned classrooms in groups of an average of four students. A tropical garden, a large terrace with a seaview, and a cafeteria with snacks and coffee are all part of the school building. The colourful hammocks invite you to linger. Access to computers and Wi-Fi is available for free. The school is run by an experienced and international team, who create a casual and comfortable learning atmosphere.
ACCOMMODATIONS
The school recommends staying with host families, who offer single rooms with breakfast. Most families are within 20 minutes from the school. A further option is the shared apartments which are located in a quiet and safe neighbourhood, only a few minutes walk from the school and the beach. EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
The language school offers a broad range of activities. During the weekends, there are full-day or several-day excursions to the surrounding regions. The school’s tour guide introduces the students to the Mayan culture and may lead them through hidden lagoons or protected nature reserves. El Estudiante gladly helps students organize other excursions to sites in the surrounding areas like visits to Chichen Itza, Ek Balam, Aldea Maya or Valladolid. Playa del Carmen itself offers many wonderful ways to spend free time, be it simply sunbathing at the beach, swimming, diving or snorkelling, sailing, discovering Mayan culture or enjoying Salsa dancing and the vibrant nightlife.
