The climate is ideal: temperatures range between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius. All of the city’s sights can be reached easily from the avenida central. In the Palacio Nacional, anyone can attend sittings of the legislature. An impressive park surrounds the splendid cathedral. Other important sights are the national museum, with its noteworthy collection of pre-Columbian artifacts, the gold museum and the Teatro Nacional. Nightlife enthusiasts will find a broad range of modern cinemas, theatres, discos, jazz clubs, as well as restaurants serving Costa Rican and international cuisine.
