LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN MOSCOW
Our partner school Linden & Denz is located in the centre of Moscow close to the Belorussky Rail Terminal where trains from Warsaw and Berlin arrive. The school is on the ground floor of a building belonging to the Russian Foreign Ministry. The nearest metro station «Belorusskaya can be reached on foot in five minutes. There are lots of bars and restaurants in the surrounding area offering lunches at a reasonable price. The school has ten modern and well equipped classrooms (LCD TV and DVD players), three computer stations with complimentary Internet access, five work stations for private study and a free Internet hotspot. All of the teachers are native speakers and have degrees in teaching Russian as a foreign language (RKI). Every course is based on the communicative approach which combines systematic grammar learning with the language needed for daily life. The school is officially recognized and is the official centre for preparing for the state exam «Russian as a Foreign Language» (TRKI) in Moscow.
ACCOMMODATION
The school sets great store by selecting host families that enjoy socializing, meeting new people and who welcome students warmly. Private accommodation in host families comprises a single room with half board (full board on weekends). Participants who prefer a student atmosphere can live in student residences. The apartments have single rooms with a shared bathroom and kitchen. Bedding is provided. All apartments are equipped with TV, telephones and washing machines. Hotel and apartment accommodation can be booked on request.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Liden & Denz offers a wide range of excursions, as well as cultural and social activities. Some activities are free of charge, such as the walking tour of Moscow for new students or the Friday cocktail hour. A little tip: ISIC card holders pay reduced prices in many museums, palaces, galleries and cinemas. Moscow is a very large city and has a correspondingly broad range of cultural offerings, as well as exciting nightlife.
