LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN SIENA
Dante Alighieri was opened in 1979 and is one of the oldest language schools in Italy, located 10 minutes walk from the Piazza del Campo in the historic centre of Siena. The school, which is officially licensed by the Italian Ministry of Education, is housed in a recently renovated medieval building, which offers an ideal atmosphere for learning. The infrastructure comprises 27 light and airy classrooms, a well-stocked modern library, a room for self study, a lounge and free Internet access. The terraces and interior courtyards of the school building are ideal for relaxing during the breaks and after class. Alongside standard, intensive and combination courses, Dante Alighieri offers individual tuition. The preparatory courses for the PLIDA diploma are popular with course participants.
ACCOMMODATION
The host families offer accommodation in single rooms with half board (breakfast and evening meal). All accommodation is centrally located and within easy reach from the school. On request, Dante Alighieri can also arrange accommodation in apartments, hotels or country houses. Prices and details are available upon request.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Dante Alighieri organizes recreational activities on a regular basis. These include film and discussion evenings, concerts, readings and joint dinners, as well as a range of excursions in the city and in the surrounding countryside. The school staff are happy to assist in planning individual excursions and organizing sports activities.
