LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN SALERNO
The Accademia Italiana is centrally located in one of Salerno’s most lively streets, the Via Roma, close to the medieval cathedral square. The school is housed in an impressive ancient building, which fronts directly onto the city’s famous lake promenade. It also offers and excellent sea view. Teachers at the school are all highly qualified and are specialists in teaching Italian to foreigners. Every teacher has a university degree and solid training in teaching. The school’s teaching method is based on state of the art teaching techniques and aims to provide students with such practical skills as understanding the language, learning and communicating. Instruction is provided using modern textbooks, audiovisual media, and multimedia materials, and supported by a direct student-teacher relationship. The Accademia Italiana is also recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education and is a member of ASILS (Italian Association of High Quality Schools).
ACCOMMODATION
The host families of the Accademia Italiana offer accommodation in single rooms with half board or breakfast only. All accommodation is centrally located and within easy walking distance from the school. As an alternative, the school also offers accommodation in single rooms in student residences. Bathrooms and kitchens are shared with other students. Bedding, water, gas and electricity are included in the price. All apartments are close to the school.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
The school offers a range of joint activities as a daily point of reference for students. During the week, numerous cultural and recreational events are organized as part of the daily program and included in the price of the course. Participants need only pay the cost of entrance to museums, theatres, guided tours or restaurant dinners. Students will receive complete information and programmes during the presentation on the first day. Salerno is also ideally located for students to become acquainted with some of Italy’s finest landscapes on their own.
