LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN RAVENNA
SPM Ravenna was founded in 1984 and is one of the most prestigious language schools offering Italian as a foreign language. The Palazzo Malvisi Language School is located in the heart of the historical part of the city close to the most important sights and the pedestrianized area which is brought to life by cafés, restaurants and shops. At one time, there are between twenty and seventy students making use of the 13 bright air-conditioned classrooms, a PC station with complimentary Internet and wireless access for laptops, a TV room with widescreen TV and vending machines for snacks and drinks. The language school, which boasts a long-term collaboration with the major Italian universities (Perugia, Sienna, Urbino), is a state recognized testing centre for many different assessed qualifications (CELI – DITALS – AIL). The qualified teachers have many years of didactic experience and mentor their students according to their individual needs. There is a friendly atmosphere and students are guaranteed to make rapid progress with the language.
ACCOMMODATION
SPM offers students accommodation with selected host families either on a bed and breakfast basis or half board. In addition, “Executive” accommodation is also offered (private room and bathroom) with families or in halls of residence. Students can also stay in hostels or hotels on request. All of the accommodation is close to the language school and can be reached by bus or bike in less than 10 minutes.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Art, culture, wildlife, sport, nightlife. Ravenna has a lot to offer and SPM helps its guests discover the many free time activities with a two week program. The program includes tours of the city, excursions to the nearby cities of Ferrara, Venice, Bologna, Florence, wine tasting, cookery courses and cultural conferences. Other activities are also provided for including trips to the beach together, evenings out in discos, restaurants or pizzerias and much more besides. Moreover, the school is happy to help its students establish an individual sport and leisure program.
