The International House in Milan is accommodated in the Torre Velasca, an impressive high-rise built in the 1950s. The construction is a famous landmark of the city. The language school, located on its fifth floor, is situated only a few minutes away from the Milan Cathedral and the Teatro alla Scala. Because of its central location, you can benefit from the school’s vicinity to a variety of great shopping facilities and you will have easy access to Milan’s public transport system. The International House’s 10 classrooms are all equipped with flat-screen TVs and DVD players. Moreover, students can use the lounge and several computer terminals with free Internet access. WiFi is available throughout the school that offers a high-quality learning experience in a pleasant atmosphere and in comfortable surroundings guided by a dedicated team of teachers.
ACCOMMODATION
The school arranges homestay at carefully-selected host families who offer single rooms with the choice of bed and breakfast or half board (breakfast and dinner). The school can also arrange for rooms in shared accommodation (shared use of washroom and kitchen). Further options include hotels or youth hostels, and are available upon request.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Once a week, the school organizes an afternoon at the cinema, a pizza night, or spaghetti night. Twice a week, the school arranges an international evening, which takes place either in a trendy pub or a night club. At the weekend, the school organises excursions to Verona, Como or Liguria and other places of interest. Many students discover the city under their own steam, as the city offers everything that is expected from a metropolis: arts and culture, unlimited shopping, and of course with the AC and Inter, two strong soccer teams to enjoy.
