LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN VICHY
CCAVILAM was founded in 1964 in cooperation with the University of Clermont-Ferrand. Since the language school cooperates with many organizations in France and elsewhere, the teaching is continually aligned with new requirements and improved. The teaching staff are experts in their field, and CAVILAM accordingly has an excellent international reputation. The school is housed in a completely renovated thermal baths building on the new university campus. This is surrounded by a park in the heart of the city, directly on the Allier river. CAVILAM has 25 classrooms and three multimedia rooms with a language laboratory and free Internet access. The school has a strong international orientation, which makes it easy to meet students from all parts of the world.
ACCOMMODATION
Vichy offers a wide range of accommodation options: selected host families in single rooms with half board (breakfast and evening meal) or a centrally located student residence with 160 furnished single rooms with bath, WC and cooking alcove.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
The language school offers a large and varied range of sports and recreational activities year round. These include group visits to films and theatres, cultural events or visits to castles. Virtually any type of sport can be found in Vichy, while shopping expeditions to Lyons or Paris are very popular. Course participants can find out about activities offered by the school in the “Club Celestine” together with information on sports.
