LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN MONTPELLIER
The Institut Linguistique Adenet is housed in one of the most attractive addresses in the heart of the historic centre of Montpellier. A patrician mansion with historic character from the 18th century has bright, recently renovated classrooms with modern, tasteful furnishings. The school also has TV, video recorders, video cameras and a media room with books, periodicals and newspapers, learning materials and free Internet access. The friendly, helpful teaching staff have at least 2 years’ experience in teaching French as a foreign language and are skilled at motivating course participants. Oral command of the language is the primary goal in small classes, while grammar and the written aspects are not neglected. The atmosphere in the school is relaxed and participants soon feel at home.
ACCOMMODATION
The School only works with carefully chosen families. Students can choose from either a single room with breakfast or half board. Over 60 % of the guest families can be reached on foot in less than ten minutes, the others are a maximum of twenty minutes by bus away. Other accommodation options are the three halls of residence with studio flats (TV, shared kitchen or kitchenette, bathroom). These residences are between 3 to 10 minutes walk away from the school. 3 exclusive apartment complexes, 10 to 20 minutes by tram away, have also proved very popular among students. These studio flats have their own kitchen, bathroom and TV.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Course participants are introduced to the historic old town on the first day of the course. A varied range of activities is available, including visits to theatres and concerts, wine and cheese parties, beach picnics and, depending on demand, excursions to Nimes, Avignon or Carcassonne. The Pyrenees and Cevennes are within quick and easy reach and Provence is only an hour away. The school is happy to provide information about excursions and also about the wide range of sports available.
