LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN CANNES
The College International was founded in 1931, and the language school is indeed reminiscent of an American college. Most course participants live directly in the college. They come here not only to learn French, but also to experience unforgettable weeks in a large student community. The operation of the student residence is predominantly leisure-oriented and the school offers a range of courses and organized recreational activities unique in France. With an average of 250 to 300 students, a large proportion of who come from German-speaking countries, allow the individual teaching levels to be closely tailored to demand. Absolute beginners and advanced language students will all find a custom-tailored program here. The College is located on more than 11 000 palm tree-shaded m2 in the immediate vicinity of the beach. The infrastructure includes: 22 well equipped classrooms, a language lab, a restaurant, a media room, a theatre and movie room with 140 seats, a fitness room, 110 college rooms, a health centre, a laundry with ironing facilities, a safe courtyard parking area and a foyer bar with a bistro terrace, which serves as a meeting point for language school students. The school is specifically designed for younger students looking for a comprehensive program of activities and recreation.
ACCOMMODATION
The school’s own accommodation in the college is the most popular- in purpose-built, simply furnished single rooms with half board (breakfast and lunch) or full board. The single rooms are always booked up very early. The college serves meals in its own restaurant. On request, the school will also organize accommodation in a family with breakfast. Additional meals can be taken in the school restaurant and paid for at the time.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Recreational activities at the College are the responsibility of a separate office with one employee and two monitors. The program includes sports activities, excursions, evening events and excursions lasting several days (e.g. to Corsica or the Camargue). The school’s theatre and cinema facilities are also available to students at any time.
