The Camaret Peninsula lies protectively in front of the beautiful bay of Brest, a strategically important trading and naval port, which saw its heyday in the 18th century and is still internationally significant. In those days, the discoverers set sail from Brest to discover the seas of the world and brought exotic goods back to France.
