LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN SAN FRANCISCO
St. Giles College has a strong reputation and tradition of excellence. When this location was opened in 1982, it was one of the first to offer the now popular Cambridge Certificate Program. As a member of St. Giles Colleges, with their headquarters in London, our partner school in San Francisco can rely on a large partner network. The school is situated in two modern buildings facing one another, close to the famous Union Square. Thanks to this great location – right in the heart of San Francisco – all major attractions are nearby and easy to access. Public transportation stops are just steps away from the school. The school houses 20 bright and grand classrooms in the one building, and another seven in the other. Both buildings also have a computer room with free internet, a comfortable student lounge with large screen TVs, a small library, and a café.
ACCOMMODATION
All host families are carefully selected. St. Giles College believes it is important that families live no more than 30 to 45 minutes from the school. Single rooms with breakfast or half board are available on request. Another popular type of accommodation is the Residence Clubs, with various categories of room. Meals are normally also available their during the week. The Residence Clubs are generally only a few minutes away from the school.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
The language school offers numerous recreational opportunities, not only during the week but also on weekends. Depending on the season, for example, there are excursions to Yosemite National Park, Santa Barbara or LA. But San Francisco itself is a tempting destination with its wide range of culture and sports, for exploring on ones own or with other students.
