LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN SAN FRANCISCO
The Converse International School of Languages is located on Market Street right in the centre of San Francisco. The school is surrounded by shops and restaurants. “Fisherman’s Wharf” can be reached by cable car in 15 minutes. The language school is very accessible as many different forms of public transport stop directly in front of the school. The partner school is on the 14th and 15th floors of a high rise building. From there students can access the large roof terrace which has a wonderful view of downtown San Francisco. Computers with Internet access (Wireless LAN) and a small library are available for learners to use. The rather small school has a good mix of nationalities, here in particular it must be pointed out that there are comparatively few Swiss learners.
ACCOMMODATIONS
All host families are carefully selected and personally known by the school. Most are located between 30-40 minutes from the school, and offer single rooms either just with breakfast or as half board (breakfast and dinner). Student residences are also popular and are located near the school; they offer a number of room types to choose from and as a general rule, meals are offered during the weekdays.
EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
The language school offers many activities options during the week and on weekends. Depending on the season, these activities may include trips to the Napa Valley, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Disneyland, or to Yosemite National Park. During the weekend, the school organizes, for example, group dinners, concerts, movies nights, bowling and yoga.
