LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN SAN DIEGO
The Converse International School of Languages was founded in 1972 and can look back on 30 years of years of experience in teaching English. The school building is located in the inner city in comfortable, modern premises. Public transport, the Horton Plaza shopping centre, the historic Gas Lamp Quarter and the city’s new baseball stadium are nearby. The school itself offers a complete range of courses in small classes at all levels. Alongside standard and intensive courses, these include the popular Cambridge Preparatory courses. Experienced, qualified teachers support students in making fast progress in language learning. The infrastructure consists of seventeen spacious air-conditioned classrooms, a multimedia room and a student lounge. Numerous restaurants and cafes are located in the immediate vicinity of the school, where students can eat during the lunch break.
ACCOMMODATION
Our partner school provides accommodation with host families in single rooms with half board. The majority of the host families live in the suburbs, on average a 45 to 60 minute journey by public transport away from the school. The student house (Vantaggio Suites) is located about 25 minutes away from the school. Students have the opportunity to stay there in private rooms with communal kitchens.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
The school offers a varied range of recreational activities including film evenings, communal dinners, football, volleyball, surfing and many other sports activities. Weekend excursions are arranged to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Tijuana, Disneyland and the Grand Canyon. The recreational opportunities in San Diego are virtually limitless. The school staff are happy to help students arrange individual outings.
