Founded in 1978, the English Language Centre not only has a school in Los Angeles/ Santa Monica but also in Boston. A group of young, highly motivated teachers- all university graduates experienced in teaching foreign languages- ensures high quality teaching and contributes to the school’s high reputation. It is located in Westwood Village, and exclusive area near to Beverly Hills. The glorious beach of Santa Monica is only 15 minutes away by an efficient bus service. ACCOMMODATION
Special care is taken in selecting host families, which are visited by the school official responsible. Some are no more than one hour from the school in good residential areas, while others are located directly in Santa Monica. The families offer single rooms with a choice of breakfast or half board. Studios or apartments can also be arranged upon request.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
The mild climate makes year round sports possible. Students receive reduced rates at a nearby fitness centre. The school itself offers a range of recreational activities, including a visit to Universal Studios or Disneyland, a trip to the Magic Mountain Amusement Park, as well as cultural events.
