LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN BOSTON
The medium sized English Language Center was founded in Boston in 1978 and also has a sister school in Los Angeles/Santa Monica. As a member of the International Association of Language Centres, it makes high demands of its teaching staff and is known for the quality of is programmes. The school accordingly has an excellent international reputation. Since March 2007, it has been housed in a striking historic building on Boston Park Plaza in the exclusive Back Bay area, just a few minutes from the city centre and the Charles River. Theatres, restaurants and shops are accordingly within easy reach and the public transit connections are excellent. The English Language Center has a modern infrastructure. During the breaks between classes, for example, students have access to a lounge with a small kiosk. The atmosphere in the school is relaxed, pleasant and informal.
ACCOMMODATION
The host families are visited regularly by the school and selected according to strict criteria. They offer single rooms with a choice of breakfast or half board. The families are close to public transportation and travel times are generally not more than forty to fifty minutes. Other types of accommodation (studios and apartments) can also be arranged if desired.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Along with numerous cultural events, Boston also offers a wide range of sports. The school organizes regular outings on the weekends in the surrounding countryside as well as a substantial recreational programme during the week. The school is happy to provide tips for individual excursions or activities in and around Boston.
