Cape Town - Good Hope Studies
LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN CAPE TOWN
Good Hope Studies is located in a renovated historic building in the centre of Cape Town, close to buses and train stations. The language school is decorated in a modern African style and has spacious and bright classrooms. Students have use of computers with free internet connection, as well as an atrium and a student lounge area to enjoy their breaks with free tea and coffee. The school has an excellent nationality mix, with students from 50 different nationalities. In addition to the school building in the city centre, Good Hope Studies has a second campus in the southern part of Cape Town, in the middle of a quiet and green residential area. Many Cambridge courses are held here, where there are 18 bright classrooms and a modern décor, creating an optimal learning environment. Students can relax after class in the break room or in the outdoor pool area.
ACCOMMODATIONS
The school can arrange single or double rooms with half board (breakfast and dinner) at carefully-selected host families, most of which are located in a 45 minute radius of the school. For those seeking a higher level of accommodations with private bath may opt for a ’host family PLUS.’ In addition to host family accommodations, students can choose a single room in student residence with a safe in the room plus shared bathroom, kitchen, living room with TV and DVD, and WLAN (user pay). Further options include a student house, B&Bs (pensions), or hotels. Details available upon request.
EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
The activities co-ordinator at the school organizes a new activities program each week. Regular excursions on the program include visits to Tafelberg, Long Street, Kap der Guten Hoffnung, township tours, the Waterkant district, or the waterfront. In addition the school regularly plans restaurant nights, which the teachers also take part in.
