LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN CHRISTCHURCH
Languages International, formerly named the Southern English School, is in Christchurch and is the sister school to the renowed Languages International in Auckland, which was founded in 1978 and is one of the oldest language schools in New Zealand. This top-notch language school is right in the middle of Christchurch, just minutes from shops, cafés, bars, pubs and city sights. The school building is modernly appointed and has a kitchen, student lounge, computer room with free internet (broadband) as well as wireless throughout the school. The casual and friendly atmosphere and helpful staff are very much appreciated by the students. The school has been successfully conducting Cambridge preparation instruction for many years.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Languages International offers single rooms with half board (full board on weekends) at host families, who are generally located within a 30-minute bus ride to the school. The school can also organize other options, such as apartments or hostels, upon request.
EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
The school regularly organizes weekend day trips to places like Akaroa, Quail Island, Queenstown, etc., and get-togethers in the evenings. These may include going to the theatre or a pub, dinner out at local restaurants, as well as video nights and barbeques. In Christchurch, nearly any sport can be enjoyed any day of the week, be it horseback riding, badminton, soccer, basketball, water sports, or even belly dancing.
