LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN MALTA
The European School of English is situated in a modern building in the center of Paceville, a lively district in St Julian’s. Directly surrounding the school are restaurants, bars, cinemas and shopping. The majority of the 58 classrooms are bright and airconditioned. There is also a computer room with free internet, a number of student lounges with satellite TV, Videos/DVDs, as well as a cafeteria and snackbar. The school, which is reconized by the Maltese Ministry of Education, is highly regarded for its high level of professionalism and student care. Enthusiastic and qualified staff teach here in a relaxed atmoshpere.
EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
The school arranges interesting and varied activities. Joint dinners, beach BBQs, cinema nights, parties, boat cruises, and lots more are on the agenda. Many sports like tennis, squash, beach volleyball, golf, horseback riding, sailing, windsurfing or diving can be enjoyed in the immediate area. In addition, regular half and full day excursions are arranged to Valletta, Mdina and Gozo, some of which are even included in the course fees.
ACCOMMODATIONS
The host families, which are carefully selected and regularly checked out, are located in close proximity to the school and offer single rooms with half board. It may also be possible to arrange accommodation in one of the many school/student residences (see below). Information about other options (guest house, hotel) available upon request.
ESE RESIDENCE
This residence belongs to the school itself and is on the third floor of the school building. It twin rooms (two beds) with their own bathroom, study desk, TV, telephone and air conditioning. Breakfast is included and is served in the ESE Café. Reception area is tended 24 hours.
WHITE HOUSE RESIDENCE
This residence is right next to the school. The twin rooms (two beds) provide the same comfort as those in the ESE residence. Breakfast is included and is also served in the ESE Café. Guests staying here have use of the large roof terrace as well.
LAND’S END APARTMENTS
The Land’s End apartments are in the heart of Sliema, very close to numerous cafés, restaurants, and an assortment of shops. Students can expect comfortable one or two bedroom apartments, some with a balcony and view over Valletta. On average, five students share one bathroom, a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining room, and a nicely appointed living room with a TV. Those staying in this building may use the swimming pool. The busride to the school is only 15 minutes long. At certain times, there is a shuttle bus that runs from the apartment building to the school, but the public bus stop is also not far away.
