LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN MALTA
EC English Language Centre, founded in 1991, is located in the centre of St. Julian’s. In its immediate vicinity, there are restaurants, the beach and shopping facilities. The language school is modern and nicely furnished. Learners have light-flooded, well-equipped classrooms at their disposal as well as a library, a students’ lounge and a nice terrace garden on top of the school building. Students can surf the web in the Internet café. In addition, wireless Internet is available throughout the building. The friendly and well-qualified trainers and staff at EC ensure an ideal learning atmosphere.
EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
The language school offers a multifaceted leisure program. Among others, EC Malta organizes excursions to water parks, group meals at night time and trips to the sandy beaches. Malta features a variety of leisure activities which you may also explore on your own initiative.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Host families are carefully chosen by the school. They offer single rooms with half board (breakfast and dinner). By public transportation, it takes maximum 30 minutes to get from the school to your hosts. Some host families live closer to the school and can be reached on foot within 10 minutes. It is also possible to stay at a students’ residence. Detailed information on other accommodation (apartments, hotels etc.) available upon request.
THE CARLTON RESIDENCE
The residence is located at the promenade of St. Julian’s. From the school, it takes 20 minutes on foot or a 10-minute bus ride to get there. The Carlton Residence offers wireless Internet (€2 /60 mins or €10 /400 mins). The rooms are fully furnished and have air-conditioning. A desk, bathroom and TV complete the furnishings. Guests can share a common kitchen, a dining space with sea view and a spacious roof-deck. Weekly cleaning of the rooms is included in the price.
THE PATRICIA
The residence is located on the promenade of Sliema. From the school, it takes 25 minutes on foot or a 10-minute bus ride to get there. The students’ residence features 43 single and double rooms thus making it an ideal place to meet other EC students. The rooms have air-conditioning as well as a bathroom, a small refrigerator, a desk and a TV set. The residence also features a common kitchen with dining room, free Internet in the lounge and on the first floor (wireless Internet can be used for a small charge). The rooms are cleaned every day.
