The Horner School of English is a government approved school, founded in 1993. The school has acquired an excellent reputation under the leadership of the Horner family, whose members all have many years of experience teaching in language schools. The highly qualified, committed teaching staff set great store by high quality transmission of the English language- a goal that is effectively achieved through small classes. The school is superbly located in the centre of Dublin. The school building consists of 12 bright, well equipped classrooms plus a cafeteria, a library, and a study room, which students can also use after class. Restaurants, coffee shops, cinemas and famous trendy Grafton Street are invitingly close with all its shops. The proverbially friendly atmosphere, international range of students and varied activities mean that students very soon feel at home here.
ACCOMMODATION
All the host families are carefully chosen and live an average of 20 to 40 minutes by bus or train from the school. They offer single rooms with breakfast and evening meal, as well as lunch on weekends. Other types of accommodation are available upon request.
RECREATIONAL POTENTIAL
The Horner School of English offers a wide range of activities and excursions, which vary according to the season. They range from bowling and theatre visits to tours of a whisky factory or a brewery. On weekends, the area around Dublin offers countless castles and glorious scenery.
