Dublin - CES Dublin
LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN DUBLIN
The Centre of English Studies CES was founded in 1979 and was one of the first language schools in Ireland. With over thirty years of educational experience, the school is rich in tradition and is located right in the centre of Dublin near to Trinity College and Dublin Castle. The classrooms are spread across two buildings that are only a two minute walk apart. There are many restaurants and shops in the direct vicinity of the school. The multimedia room and the 25 classrooms are equipped with the most modern technological devices. Students can surf for free in the computer room or using the wireless connection and their own laptops. In the afternoons, there is a teacher available to help with non-study related matters and students can take the initiative to improve their language skills using the language lab. In the breaks, students can meet up on the two roof gardens or in the basement cafeteria where drinks and snacks are available.
ACCOMMODATION
Host families give students the opportunity to learn a lot about the local culture and practice their everyday English. The families are carefully chosen by CES and between 30 and 40 minutes away from the school by public transport. Students who would like a bit more independence can take advantage of the single and double rooms in Crestfield & Auburn House. The majority of the rooms have a private bathroom. The kitchen and the living room are shared with other residents. Further accommodation available on request.
RECREATIONAL POTENTIAL
CES Dublin organizes leisure activities and excursions virtually everyday. The activities include museum visits, orientation tours of the city, film afternoons, quiz nights, a visit to the Guinness Brewery, dancing lessons and pub nights. Many of these activities are complimentary. In addition, the school also organizes day trips and weekend excursions including Belfast, Galway, Kilkenny, Boyne Valley etc.
