Cork - Cork Language Centre

LANGUAGE CENTRE IN CORK
The Cork Language Centre was founded in 1975 and is today one of Ireland’s leading companies in the field. The school is housed in two elegant 18th century Georgian buildings in the city centre, close to restaurants and shopping. The facilities include 24 well equipped classrooms, a study room with a library, video/DVD, computers (free internet access), learning cassettes and CD-ROMs. Students have access to a cafeteria and a garden for recreation during breaks. The highly qualified teaching staff have many years of experience and ensure that students’ individual preferences and needs are met.

ACCOMMODATION
All host families are carefully screened and tested by the school. The school guarantees that only one student with the same mother tongue is housed with any one family. Accommodation includes a single room with breakfast during the week and full board on weekends.

RECREATIONAL POTENTIAL
The Cork Language Centre organizes programs on a regular basis featuring a range of recreational activities. On weekdays, guided tours of the city are organized, along with video and games evenings. Visits to theatres, folk festivals and pubs are also part of the program. On weekends, there are half day and full day excursions. Blarney Castle and gardens or the Jameson Whiskey Distillery, West Cork, Dublin and “The Island of Cape Clear” are just a few examples. Students often get together and explore Cork and vicinity on their own.
