The Regent Language School was founded in 1964. It belongs to the illustrious Regent School group and has a reputation for high quality language training. The teaching staff are exceptionally well trained and committed and provide optimum conditions for a successful language course. The historic building is over 300 years old and located in a quiet street closed to traffic in the heart of London, only 2 or 3 minutes’ walk from Charing Cross and Embankment Underground stations, Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, The Strand, shops and trendy restaurants, allowing students after class to submerge themselves in the life of this vibrant, multicultural metropolis. Students who want a lunch break amid greenery will enjoy the Embankment Gardens beside the school, a glorious, large park directly on the Thames River. The Regent School is equipped with the most modern facilities including large, bright classrooms, a multi media centre as well as a language laboratory.
ACCOMMODATION
Regent School can look back on years of fruitful cooperation with its host families. Most families live within 30 to 45 Minutes by Underground or bus. Host families offer accommodation with breakfast or half board. If desired and depending on availability, a “premium” family can be booked for an additional price. “Premium” families generally offer a larger room and some are nearer to the school. The school also offers the possibility of accommodation in hotels or in a student residence.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
The school organizes a weekly program consisting of visits to pubs, theatres, museums, musicals and much more. On weekends, Regent offers a range of excursions- including ones to Cambridge, Brighton or Canterbury. Since the school is located in the vibrant heart of London, it offers something for every taste. The school is happy to provide tips and information about restaurants, pubs and events. Students often make plans amongst themselves to explore the exciting, multifaceted recreational opportunities.
