The London School of English can without any exaggeration be described as one of Britain’s most experienced and successful language schools. A library and computer room with free Internet access (Wireless LAN) are available for self study. The schools own cafeteria offers small snacks and drinks. Cafés, restaurants, shops as well as a variety of sports facilities are located in the immediate vicinity. A three-minute walk takes you to the nearest Underground station and a fifteen-minute ride on the Underground takes you into the centre of London. This school is ideal for highly motivated adult participants who wish to achieve optimum learning in as short a time as possible.
ACCOMMODATION
The school has a dedicated expert responsibly solely for the careful selection of host families, generally located no more than 40 minutes away on public transport. Students who book early can in many cases select a host family within walking distance. There is a choice of single room with breakfast, half board or with breakfast and occasional dinners (in consultation with the family). The school also has information on hotel rooms in a variety of price ranges. Apartment prices are available upon request.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
The school offers a recreational program that changes weekly. This may involve visits to pubs, theatres or musical events during the week, or weekend excursions to Bath, Brighton, Cambridge, Hampton Court or a football game. Since London provides something for every taste, variety is a a given. The school is happy to provide information about the range of sports available, popular restaurants and pubs, or excursions. The school’s relaxed atmosphere means that students easily establish contact amongst themselves.
