LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN LIVERPOOL
Founded in 2004, LILA language school guarantees the most modern teaching techniques as well as motivated, highly qualified teaching staff. The school building is located in the heart of the city only a ten minute walk away from the waterfront, which is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The new shopping complex »One« is situated directly in front of the school. Just around the corner, the world famous club »The Cavern« is located. This is where the Beatles hit the big time. It is only a couple minutes walk to public transport stops. The school is spread across two floors of a modern commercial building. Students quickly begin to feel at home thanks to the pleasant classrooms and generous lounge with kitchen, table football, big screen and PCs with Internet access. Tea, coffee and biscuits are available free of charge; further snacks are available from a vending machine. Every day, the language school realizes its motto: your success is our success.
ACCOMMODATION
No other form of accommodation allows a country’s language and culture to be experienced as intensely as a host family. LILA offers single rooms with host families with half board (full board at weekends). Places of accommodation are carefully chosen and can be reached from the school within a maximum of 45 minutes. LILA offers students who prefer a bit more freedom places in the university’s halls of residence. Students stay in single rooms with an en suite and share a kitchen, living room, washing machine and TV with other students. Internet access is included. Hotel accommodation can be arranged on request.
LEISURE ACTIVITIES
LILA’s varied activity and leisure program caters to every taste: picnics in the park, discovery tours of the city, watching football matches, sports in the park, DVD showings, theatre evenings, quiz nights, BBQs, visits to galleries, museums, cinemas and pubs and going out to hear live music. On top of all that, there are also weekend excursions to the countryside and to other cities e.g. London, Edinburgh, Southport, Conway, York, etc. LILA is happy to help with the organisation of individual excursions.
