LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN EDINBURGH
The Edinburgh School of English has been teaching English for over 25 years. The school’s experienced, well-trained teaching staff are skilled at teaching the English language in a lively manner, in a learner family environment, in small classes with a maximum of 12 students. The students at the school come from a wide range of backgrounds and ages. The school, on the Royal Mile in the historic heart of Edinburgh, is housed in a 19th century church. The church building is unchanged on the outside, while the interior has been converted to a school, and in addition to well-equipped classrooms has a large communal lounge. The Edinburgh School of English has a reputation for providing a high standard of training, due to its experienced teaching staff and professional teaching in small classes.
ACCOMMODATION
The school offers single rooms with carefully selected host families. Breakfast and an evening meal are available on school days, with lunch available on weekends. The host families are located an average of 15 and a maximum of 25 minutes by bus from the school.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
The program of activities and excursions offered by the school is partially included in the price of the course. For example, visits to a castle or museum, art gallery or whiskey distillery are included in the program. In the evening, this may be a discussion, a game evening, a recital or an informal Scottish Evening. Students often spontaneously organize outings into the islands, to the coast or to London, which is only 5 hours away by train or an hour by plane.
