LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN CAMBRIDGE
The Eurocentres School building in Cambridge was designed specifically for language teaching. The architecture, with lots of wood and glass, creates a warm, inviting atmosphere. The classrooms are spacious and have state-of-the-art equipment. The infrastructure comprises two lecture rooms, a large hall and a cafeteria with an attractive terrace on which students can enjoy their breaks and lunch breaks in the summer. The restaurant offers a good variety of snacks and small menus and drinks. A computer room with free Internet access is available for self-study. Ten televisions with DVD/video, as well as a large library are available. Course participants use the library for learning as well as for consulting information material such as newspapers, magazines or travel guides. The university’s botanical garden is located beside the school. The location of the school is ideal: 15 minutes walk from the centre. Many students rent a bicycle during their stay so that they can get around in Cambridge and the immediate vicinity more easily.
ACCOMMODATION
Many students chose accommodation in host families, which are carefully selected on site by Eurocentres and inspected at regular intervals. All families can be reached on foot or by public transport in no more than 15 to 30 minutes. They offer single rooms, which are practically and comfortably furnished. The alternative possibility exists of living in a student residence with other course participants.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Theatres, cinemas, pubs, clubs, shopping and numerous sports ensure that a stay in Cambridge will be anything but dull. The school also offers a broad program of activities: it organizes parties, dances and game evenings, pub visits, musicals, tickets for concerts and a variety of sporting activities. There are weekend excursions to Canterbury, Edinburgh, Norwich, London and Oxford.
