LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN BRIGHTON
The St. Giles College in Brighton, which consists of three large buildings in the Regency style, is centrally located beside the Royal Pavilion. Public transportation, shops, restaurants and bars can be reached easily from the school. Numerous museums, galleries and theatres are also nearby, as is a public swimming pool and a modern city library. The interior of the school has recently undergone comprehensive modernization and now contains a study area with a large selection of learning materials, DVDs and videos, two language labs, a computer room with free Internet access and a spacious cafeteria offering warm and cold meals as well as a range of snacks. All teacher employed at the school have undergone special training as teachers of English and have substantial teaching experience.
ACCOMMODATION
The carefully chosen host families live an average of 40 minutes from the school. The families offer single rooms with a choice of breakfast or half board. The school ensures that there are never two students with any one family with the same mother tongue. The student residence is approximately 10 minutes walk from the school. Single rooms can also be reserved (meals not included). The minimum age is 18. Other types of accommodation are available on request.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
The St. Giles College offers a multifaceted recreational program with city tours, pub and disco evenings, visits to museums and cinemas, communal dinners and student parties. Individual and group excursions to London, Oxford or Edinburgh are also arranged.
