LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN KELOWNA
VanWest College has been operating in Vancouver since 1988 and has been giving English lessons in Kelowna since 1995. The school is located in the heart of the city, near shopping centres like the Towne Centre Mall right in the neighbourhood. And parks, restaurants, public transportation, and Okanagan Lake are only minutes from the school. The school has 10 classrooms, an eating area, and a computer room. The décor is modern with laminate flooring, a light colour scheme, and large windows, creating a pleasant learning environment. During high season, there is a maximum of only 80 students, so this relatively small school enjoys a personal and casual atmosphere. Therefore, the instructors are able to keep the lessons varied and emphasize communication skills.
ACCOMMODATIONS
The host families are carefully selected by the school and are located within 30 minutes from the school. The host families offer single rooms with full board – three meals a day. Further accommodation option information available upon request.
EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
The school has an onsite activities co-ordinator, who puts together a varied and interesting activities program that includes parties, boat rides, disco nights, barbeques, as well as sports like kayaking, golf, mountain biking and skiing and snowboarding in the winter.
