Kaplan International Colleges in Sydney is located in the suburb of Manly, probably the most popular recreational area in Sydney. The language school is at the sea front, right at the ocean and the beach. Several restaurants, bars and cafés surround the school. Sydney’s city centre can easily be reached by ferry within 30 minutes. Fifteen modern classrooms occupy three floors. Each floor has its own terrace with breathtaking views of the stunning Manly beach and the ocean. The terraces are a popular meeting point for the students during the breaks and after class. The school’s infrastructure also contains computers and Wi-Fi internet access throughout the whole building. The school opened its doors in 1988 and since then enjoys an excellent reputation within the language school community due to their highly involved teachers and their remarkable organisational structure.
ACCOMMODATION
The host families offer accommodation in single rooms with half board (full board on weekends). All families are visited by the school and carefully selected on the basis of quality. Most families live around 20-30 minutes from the school by bus or bike. Additional accommodation is available in backpacker hostels, communes or hotels. Details are available upon request.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Whether you are looking for sports, shopping, excursions, sight seeing or just relaxing in a park, Sydney has something for everyone. Either alone or with fellow students. The language school itself organizes a varied program of activities, ensuring that individual activities are available at a fair price. The selection includes riding, beach volleyball, surfing, football, tennis, communal dinners, pub evenings, movies and much else. Excursions in the vicinity of the city are available on most weekends.
