LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN SYDNEY
ELS Universal English College Sydney is a prestigious language school with long-term teaching experience and first class infrastructure. It occupies two floors at a modern office building only a few hundred metres away from the opera house and the botanical gardens. In addition to that, Sydney Harbour, one of the main attractions of the city, is only a few walking minutes away from the language school. A shopping mall, coffee shops, pubs, movie theatres and various restaurants are in close vicinity of the school. The school’s infrastructure is made up of 24 air-conditioned classrooms, 2 multi-media labs with a total of 36 computers and free internet (WiFi), a large library, a large meeting area for the students with beverage vending machines, microwaves, table tennis and TVs. All of the teachers are experienced and have undergone thorough training to teach English as a second language. There are courses for every level. Preparatory courses for the popular Cambridge-exams are carried out very successfully. There are still very few German-speaking participants enrolled at this language school.
ACCOMMODATION
Our partner school will arrange accommodation with host families in single rooms with half board (full board on weekends). Since the city of Sydney covers a very large area, students must reckon with a maximum of 35-60 minutes travel time. Other types of accommodation, including a student residence, are available. RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Global Village offers an extensive recreational program with beach volleyball on Manly or Bondi beaches, surfing, diving, kayaking, snorkelling, pub and film evenings and student parties. The school also organizes visits to Sydney’s major sights (e.g. Sydney Harbour, Sydney Tower or the famous Sydney Aquarium). Organized excursions to the Blue Mountains or the Hunter Valley are available on weekends.
