LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN FREMANTLE/PERTH
The Phoenix Academy in Fremantle is the sister school to the language institute of the same name in Perth. The school is extremely popular with students, due to its attractive location in the heart of Fremantle. It moved into newly renovated premises in one of Fremantle’s finest historic houses in 2005. The partnership arrangement with Notre Dame University allows students to use the university facilities, such as the library. The language school itself has 20 light and airy classrooms on two floors. A computer room, a well-equipped study room and two terraces are well used by course participants. The well-equipped teaching staff are highly motivated and make a vital contribution to the lively, committed teaching. The well known Cambridge Preparatory Courses are offered, alongside standard and intensive courses.
ACCOMMODATION
The host families are carefully selected by the school and are located 30 to 40 minutes from the school- mostly in Fremantle. The families offer single room with half board from Monday to Friday and full board on weekends. Other accommodation options are available upon request.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
The Phoenix Academy offers a varied selection of regular activities and a recreational program and is happy to provide information about the wealth of possibilities in and around Fremantle and Perth. Sports activities are virtually unlimited and the nearby beaches are an absolute hit in the summer season. They can be reached within 15 minutes. The street cafés on the famous Cappuccino Strip and the many shops are an inviting destination for strolling. Perth is also only slightly more than 20 minutes away by train.
