LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN CAIRNS
The language school is situated in Cairns’ city centre, just minutes from the large Cairns Central shopping centre, the harbour, and the train station. The school is in a large, modern building and has 20 air-conditioned classrooms, a learning centre with a library, and two large computer rooms (one with internet connection). During the breaks, and before and after class, students can meet and relax in the student lounge, community room, or in the courtyard gardens. There is also a mobile cafeteria, a café with organic foods selection, and a student kitchen. Lessons are conducted by qualified language teachers.
ACCOMMODATIONS
All host families are carefully selected and checked regularly by the school. They offer single rooms with breakfast and dinner during the weekdays, and add lunch on the weekends. The travel time between most host families and the school is between 10-40 minutes. As an alternative option the school can arrange shared accommodation. This includes a private room and shared bathroom, kitchen, and living room. Hotels, residences and apartments can also be organized, subject to availability.
EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
The school offers a broad range of activities such as barbeques, restaurant and theatre visits, festivals and themed nights, badminton, squash, tennis, soccer, volleyball, swimming or billiards. In addition to these, the school arranges excursions to the rain forest, boat rides, horseback riding, hiking, sailing, as well as trips to the Great Barrier Reef and regional tours. Some activities are free, others are user pay.
