The Byron Bay English Language School was founded in 1998 and is run with enormous enthusiasm and commitment. The school is small, relaxed, with a casual atmosphere and the young, well equipped teaching staff are adept at interpreting the material in a pleasant, collegial way. ACCOMMODATION
The host families are carefully selected by the school. They offer single rooms with half board during the week and full board on weekends. The relatively small size of Byron Bay means that virtually all the host families live fairly close to the school, within easy reach by bike.
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
The range of recreational opportunities in Byron Bay is virtually endless. It includes courses in surfing and diving, as well as parachuting, tennis, golf, mountain biking and riding. Courses in yoga or didgeridoo lessons are also available. On weekends, excursions are available into the outback and national parks, snorkelling with dolphins or a trip to Brisbane, a mere two hours away.
