Alongside surfers, this is also a paradise for divers: Julian Rocks Marine Park, one of Australia’s best diving locations, is only three kilometres from Byron Bay. This is where warm, tropical currents meet colder water, producing an incredible variety of marine life. Whales, sharks and other large fishes, manta rays and giant turtles are frequently seen.
