LANGUAGE SCHOOL IN QINGDAO
The school in Qingdao was opened in 2001 and belongs to the renowned International House Group. The language school is located in a nice building, about 15 min outside the city centre. International House offers communication courses in Mandarin in small groups, including an introduction to reading and writing. Lessons in Chinese culture are also part of the curriculum. The light classrooms are spacious and furnished in a contemporary style. Additionally, the school is equipped with a common room offering impressive sea views that can be used by all the students and a small kitchenette for self-catering. Internet access is available for all students. Since the school offers English courses as well, it is very easy to get in touch with native Chinese speakers.
ACCOMMODATION
The school does not organize accommodation with host families but it arranges rooms in a comfortable residence located within the same building as the school. RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Upon request and depending on the season, International House offers excursions as well as cultural and social activities. Depending on the number of participants, the school also organizes trips to the famous Laoshan Mountains, brewery visits or excursions to tea plantations. Any additional costs for leisure activities are to be paid on site. Qingdao itself offers its visitors a vast range of recreational opportunities due to mild temperatures, fantastic beaches and important shopping avenues.
